Data mixer NEW

Mix open data into a new dataset

Pick open statistics from different domains, join them by country and year, add a ratio or a composite score, and download the result as a dataset of its own. Every column says where it came from.

Start with a recipe

Or build your own below

Each recipe combines open data from two or more domains. Press one to mix it right away.

    1. Pick ingredients

Up to six. Live from the World Bank and Eurostat APIs.

Add your own column. Upload a CSV with a country column (name, ISO2 or ISO3) and optionally a year column. It is read in your browser and never uploaded to us.

      2. Your mix

      0 picked

        Add a calculated column (optional)

        How the mixer works

        New data, same rules

A mixed dataset follows the same storage rules as everything else on this site.

        Joined on stable keys

Rows are matched on ISO 3166 country code and year. Choose the latest value per country, or every year in your range.

        Provenance on every column

The metadata lists each source, its indicator code, licence and filters, plus the formula for any calculated column. It is mapped to DCAT-AP, so other portals can read it.

        Private by design

Your browser fetches the data directly from the World Bank and Eurostat, so they see that request. Nothing goes to us and nothing is stored. Only aggregated country statistics, never data about private individuals.

        Licences and citation

World Bank Open Data and Eurostat data are published under CC BY 4.0. When you reuse a mix, cite each source listed in its metadata and mention that it was mixed on dataexchangeplatform.io. Columns you upload remain yours. A composite score depends on the countries and years in your mix, so describe how you built it when you publish it.

        Missing an ingredient?

Tell us which open dataset you want to mix next, such as CBS figures per municipality, PDOK building data or EU law from EUR-Lex.
