Privacy notice
Last updated: 28 September 2026
This notice explains what personal data dataexchangeplatform.io collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site has no analytics, no cookies, no local storage and no third-party scripts or fonts. The self-check on the home page runs only in your browser; your answers are not stored or sent anywhere.
Who is responsible
The controller is Humanity Solutions · KvK 71110178 · Hamerstraat 67D, 2512 CX The Hague, the Netherlands. For any privacy question or request, email connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net.
What we collect through the contact form
The form does not send anything from this website. When you press “Open email draft”, your own email app opens a draft to connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net containing what you typed. You see the draft and decide whether to send it.
- Your name, work email, what you would like (intro conversation, scan or something else), which description fits you, who is asking about the data, or, if you are a broker or acquisition adviser, what kind of dataset you are assessing (optional, no names needed) and your message. If you used the self-check and chose to carry your answers over, those answers appear in the message. The topic, the description that fits you and which button brought you to the form appear in the subject line.
If you email us directly, we receive what you write and your email address. Please don’t send datasets, samples or sensitive personal data.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
We use your details only to reply to you, set up an intro conversation and, if you want one, prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For general questions that are not about an assignment, the basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use your details for newsletters or marketing, and we do not sell them. If you are a data broker or acquisition adviser, we use your details to reply and, if you engage us, to advise you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Please give us only your own details, not personal data about people at a data holder or anyone else. If we receive such data anyway, we use it only to reply to you, do not contact those people on that basis, and delete it under the retention periods below. On any one matter we act for one party only; if we are asked to advise both sides of the same dataset or deal, we tell both and ask for their written consent, or we decline.
Who processes it for us
- Google (Google Workspace): hosts the mailbox connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net, where your email arrives.
- Hostinger: hosts this website. Like most web servers, it keeps technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, time and page requested) to run and secure the site.
Transfers outside the EU
Google is a US company, so email data may be processed in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in Google’s data processing terms.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are deleted 12 months after our last contact unless they lead to an assignment. In that case we keep what tax and bookkeeping law requires (7 years) and delete the rest 2 years after the assignment ends. Hosting logs are kept by Hostinger for a limited period to run and secure the site.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (opens in a new tab).
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
